What are rubber cables?
Rubber cables are a type of cable with a sheath made from natural rubber and a conductor core produced from pure copper. This type of electrical cable not only possesses excellent conductivity but also exhibits resistance to moisture. Therefore, rubber cables find wide applications in both residential and industrial electrical systems.
Characteristics of rubber cables
The outstanding characteristics of rubber cables include:
Excellent conductivity
Rubber cables often feature cores made of high-purity copper fibers, providing excellent conductivity. This feature ensures stable and rapid signal and data transmission, especially in industrial environments that demand high precision.
High elasticity
The soft and small copper core of rubber cables contributes to high flexibility and elasticity. This allows the cable to easily bend and adapt to high curvature angles, reducing the risk of breakage and ensuring stable performance during use.
Durability and adaptability to harsh conditions
The heat resistance, resistance to decay, and stable durability of rubber cables are significant strengths. Additionally, these cables can withstand moisture, sun exposure, and resist the impact of oils, grease, and chemical environments. This enhances the overall lifespan of the cable.
Safety and versability
Using rubber cables reduces the risk of electrical accidents due to their high safety standards. The flexibility and diverse applications make rubber cables a popular choice across various industries, from manufacturing and transportation to processing industries. Furthermore, their good bending capability simplifies installation and operation, optimizing performance and saving time during deployment.
Applications of rubber cables in industries
Rubber cables find applications in the following industries:
Railway machine heads
Rubber cables used for railway machine heads must meet high-quality standards. These cables are applied in parts related to information, control, and measurement on trains. Moreover, rubber cables are used for signal transmission lines at stations and railways.
Maritime industry
Operating in an environment with factors such as humidity, salt, and harsh weather conditions, the maritime industry demands materials that resist corrosion from seawater and exhibit water resistance and heat resistance. Rubber cables are known for these characteristics, making them a suitable choice in the maritime sector. In maritime applications, rubber cables are used for electrical cable systems on ships, transmission components, as well as connection and control parts.
Oil and energy industry
The oil and gas industry often operates in harsh environments, including high temperatures, high pressure, and exposure to chemicals. Rubber cables, with their heat resistance, chemical resistance, flexibility, and elasticity, are suitable for these challenging conditions. In the oil and energy sector, rubber cables are commonly used for devices such as oil pipelines, drilling equipment, and drive systems.
