A memorable journey with MERC 2025
Mechanical Engineering Robot Contest (MERC) 2025 has officially wrapped up, marking the end of an explosive, emotional season filled with creativity and innovation from all competing teams. We HELUKABEL Vietnam are truly delighted to have accompanied such an impressive and inspiring season.
MERC 2025 – where passion meets history
Following two engaging robotics workshops in March, MERC 2025 teams advanced through the preliminary round, online voting round, and group stages. Ultimately, on May 9, the semi-final and final rounds took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), gathering the best teams for an intense showdown.
Throughout the competition, teams demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and outstanding engineering skills. Each robot design was a mark of technical excellence, and every strategy reflected a story of learning and pushing boundaries. With the theme “Quốc Sử Hùng Ca”, this year’s challenges required not only robotic engineering knowledge but also integrated historical elements through missions like “Bạch Đằng Giang Chi Chiến”, “Hậu Phương Vững Chắc”, “Sức Mạnh Lòng Dân”, “Đánh Chắc Tiến Chắc”…
The final round of MERC 2025 was a thrilling, high-energy event. Teams showcased not only precision in robot control but also sharp strategic thinking. The atmosphere was electric - robots in motion, teammates cheering passionately, lights and sounds elevating the excitement - it truly was a celebration of technology and teamwork.
The final results brought some exciting surprises. NaCa Team!!!!! secured the championship, successfully defending their MERC 2024 title. LC Sign earned second place with their impressive tactics and scoring. Third place was shared by URANUS and A ROBOTICS, in recognition of their perseverance and fierce competition. Additionally, the Most Popular Robot award went to Sát Thát, while the Most Promising Robot title was awarded to BKR.
HELUKABEL Vietnam – a journey of supporting innovation
As a sponsor for the first time, HELUKABEL Vietnam was proud to be part of a journey that nurtures the spirit of engineering creativity among students.
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thao Vy, representative of HELUKABEL Vietnam, shared at the final round: “Being part of MERC this year will undoubtedly be one of HELUKABEL Vietnam’s proudest highlights of 2025. Not only did we get to support an intellectually stimulating and creative playground, but we also had the chance to engage with an incredibly talented generation of students. I believe every participant here deserves their own trophy of pride - after all, not everyone dares to build a robot that can operate, be controlled, and most importantly, reflect their creative mark”.
Though MERC 2025 has come to a close, its impact lingers in the hearts of every contestant, every spectator, and sponsors like us at HELUKABEL Vietnam. It leaves behind pride, inspiration, and a powerful affirmation of a generation of young engineers who dare to dream and create.
