Signal transmission solutions for the Wood industry's digital transformation
On September 27, we, HELUKABEL Vietnam had an interesting workshop with our partner AA Tay Ninh Corporation on the topic "Signal Transmission Solutions for the Wood Industry's Digital Transformation". The workshop took place in a cozy space with the participation of engineers currently working in the wooden furniture production sector.
Development Potential of Vietnam's Wood Industry
According to statistics from the Department of Forestry - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the export value of forest products in the first 6 months of 2023 reached 6.42 billion USD, decreasing 28.8% compared to the same period in 2022. Wood and wood products reached 5.96 billion USD, dropping 29%; non-timber forest products 455.7 million USD, decreasing 26.2%.
However, in June, the export turnover of wood and wood products increased again and reached 1.1 billion USD, 3.7% higher than that in May. This data is a good sign for the coming year-end months of the wood industry. In the article "Wood Exports Increased Again" dated August 9 in Nguoi Lao Dong electronic newspaper, economic expert Pham Phu Ngoc Trai shared that the decline in export orders for the wood industry in the first half of the year is only temporary and that Vietnam's furniture industry still has room to develop in the next 5 to 10 years.
Besides, finding potential markets for the wood production industry, businesses are also "racing" to digitally transform production to improve product quality. Industrial automation is one of the essential factors that promote production efficiency and ensure product quality, meeting criteria in incredible markets such as Europe. The purpose of the workshop is to create an opportunity to meet and interact and listen to engineers share about the problems they are facing. Most of the problems are related to choosing the right cable for each application in the factory, and how to install and connect the electrical system correctly and safely. Through the engineers’ issues in the workshop, we can propose and provide appropriate solutions based on the factory's current situation.
