Vietnam’s fire safety law amended from July 1, 2025
The Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting has been amended to become the Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue, and officially takes effect today, July 1, 2025. The law now includes specific provisions on rescue operations, directly related to human rights and civil rights, which were previously unregulated in legal documents.
According to Decree 105/2025 of the Government and Circular 37/2025 from the Ministry of Public Security, organizations and individuals - especially heads of manufacturing facilities, markets, crowded public areas, and mixed-use residential-business buildings, must strictly comply with all fire safety requirements. Any violations or shortcomings will be penalized according to the law.
