EtherCAT Seminar Series Vietnam 2024: Unlock optimal solutions for businesses
On February 27 and 29, we at HELUKABEL Vietnam had the opportunity to be a part of the EtherCAT Seminar Series Vietnam 2024. Focusing on a compelling subject, the seminar drew attendees from numerous businesses spanning various industries in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Engaging topic, experienced speakers
EtherCAT Seminar Series is an event held by EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG) - the world's largest Industrial Ethernet Fieldbus organization with over 7,400 member companies from 74 countries.
The main speaker of this year's seminar is Mr. Martin Rostan, Executive Director of ETG and a leading expert in the field.
During the seminar, he thoroughly analyzed EtherCAT from various perspectives, providing attendees with a deeper insight of this technology. In doing so, he also clarified the advantages of implementing EtherCAT to address current challenges within industries.
Also, his presentation touched upon cybersecurity. Given that all devices within a manufacturing facility transmit data over the Internet, ensuring proper network technology selection is important. With EtherCAT, cybersecurity concerns will be resolved.
Another noteworthy aspect concerns EtherCAT G/G10. According to Mr. Martin, EtherCAT G/G10 will be a highlight to build a roadmap for the future to optimize information transmission within the industrial sector.
In our interview, Mr. Martin said: “I hope the attendees understand that EtherCAT and the fieldbus in general make differences in the control system. We hope that they will make use of our technology in their next projects".
Moreover, the seminar included a presentation by Mr. Tran Chau Ky - Account Manager at Beckhoff Automation, who shared about high-performance EtherCAT for PC control applications.

In the context that today's traditional fieldbus systems are showing limitations, many businesses are looking for alternative solutions with higher performance, and EtherCAT emerging as a prominent contender.
